Dr.Memo Cedeño Laurent (Director)
Memo is an Assistant Professor at the Rutgers School of Public Health. He is trained as a Mechanical Engineer (Monterrey Tech, Mexico) specialized in Energy Engineering (Aachen, Germany). In 2010 he switched careers to public health (Harvard University), studying the impacts of climate change on indoor environments. Memo loves coffee and has a passion for all mechanical stuff.
Leonardo Calderon, PhD (postdoctoral researcher)
Leo is a postdoctoral associate at Rutgers EOHSI. He holds an engineering degree from the School of Environmental Engineering, Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (Peru) and a Ph.D. in Exposure Science from Rutgers University. His experience as an air quality scientist includes inhalation exposure to nanotechnology-based products, controlled human exposure to gases, indoor air quality, post-hurricane air sampling, SARS-CoV-2 collection, micro and nanoplastic research, and wildfire smoke studies. Leo enjoys museums and reading.
Huaigu Sun is a second-year PhD student and obtained his Master of Public Health both in the concentration of Environmental Health Sciences at Rutgers School of Public Health. After getting his bachelors in biochemistry in UNC Chapel Hill, Huaigu became interested in public health and exposure science about air pollutants. Huaigu enjoys traveling and learning different languages.
